Safety Coordinator / Safety Manager
Location: Tempe, AZ | In-Office

Client: VKW Construction| Construction

VKW Construction is a well-established General Contracting Company specializing in commercial and industrial construction specifically in Hotel Construction / Renovation. With safety as a core value, they are committed to maintaining the highest standards on every project.

We are working alongside the owners of VKW Construction in their search fora dedicated safety professional to join their office in Tempe, Arizona as a Safety Coordinator/Safety Manager . The ideal candidate will oversee workplace health and safety, ensure compliance with OSHA and company policies, and cultivate a culture of safety across all job sites.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor safety programs and procedures.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Provide training, toolbox talks, and ongoing safety education for employees and subcontractors.
• Investigate incidents/accidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions.
• Stay current with OSHA regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
• Collaborate with project managers and supervisors to integrate safety into all operations.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of safety experience in the construction industry.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and state/local safety regulations.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• First Aid/CPR certification preferred not required.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to communicate at all levels.
• Ability to travel between project sites throughout Arizona and the Southwest.
