Job Description

An elementary school is seeking a dedicated 3rd Grade General Education Teacher for a full-time, contract position located in Calumet City, IL. This role offers the opportunity to lead a 3rd grade classroom, delivering engaging and developmentally appropriate instruction to young learners. The position requires a commitment of 35 hours per week throughout the contract school year (CSY).

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities aligned with curriculum standards for 3rd grade students.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and growth.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback to students and parents.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school-wide initiatives to support student success.
• Maintain accurate records and manage classroom resources effectively.

Qualifications:

• Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL).
• Illinois State Certification as an Elementary Teacher.
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in Elementary Education or a closely related field.
• Masters degree in a relevant area is preferred.
• Passion for teaching and commitment to student development.
