Workday Configuration Analyst
Location: Remote (U.S. based only)
Job Type: Contract 6 Months
Start Date: November 17, 2025
Schedule: Full-time, Monday Friday (East Coast hours)
We are seeking a Workday Configuration Analyst to lead the implementation of data purge and retention processes as part of a critical Records Retention Policy remediation initiative. This role requires a skilled professional with deep Workday HCM expertise who can design, configure, test, and deploy system functionality to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements by April 2027.
ResponsibilitiesConfigure and manage Workday processes related to data retention and purging.
Design and implement Workday Purge functionality, including post-purge breadcrumb strategy to retain minimal employee data remnants.
Ensure system compliance with Records Retention Policy and audit requirements.
Collaborate with Systems & Data Compliance Analyst to translate audit findings into actionable system changes.
Partner with HR and IT stakeholders to test and deploy system updates.
Document configuration changes and maintain audit traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
Participate in project meetings and provide regular status updates to leads and managers.
Follow established procedures and escalate issues appropriately when needed.
Detailed knowledge of Workday HCM and Reporting is required.
Strong analytical thinking and documentation skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Comfortable working in structured, fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
Experience with Workday Purge functionality is a significant plus.
Familiarity with Workday Extend is highly desirable.
Experience with Records Retention and Destruction concepts preferred.
Candidates willing to work onsite at King of Prussia, PA office are a plus.
100% remote work arrangement for U.S.-based candidates.
Must be available to work East Coast business hours.
Occasional onsite collaboration at King of Prussia, PA office is beneficial.
