Job Title: Temporary Senior Mechanical Engineer

Location: Scottsdale, AZ
Duration: ~ 4 weeks
Type: Temporary / Contract

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Temporary Senior Mechanical Engineer to continue and complete an ongoing camera project, which is approximately 90% finished. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in SolidWorks, experience with optical design, and excellent model-making capabilities. The role involves leveraging web-based resources to incorporate the latest design updates and applications to ensure successful project completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and finalize mechanical designs for the current project using SolidWorks.
• Collaborate with optical engineers to ensure seamless integration of optical and mechanical components.
• Develop and refine physical and virtual models for testing and validation.
• Reference online resources for recent design updates, applications, and industry best practices to enhance and optimize project outcomes.
• Support troubleshooting, testing, and documentation efforts to ensure project completion.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines and specifications.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks with significant experience in mechanical design.
• Proven experience in optical design principles.
• Strong model-making and prototype development skills.
• Ability to research and incorporate new or updated design information from web sources.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with optical simulation tools.
• Experience in plastic mold design and plastics manufacturing
• Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Previous experience with project continuation or fast-tracked development.
