The ideal candidate will have experience with safety training and field compliance in the construction industry. This candidate will have strong oral and written communication skills, be able to research and interpret safety regulations and standards and ensure field compliance with corporate safety programs. The position will proactively plan, direct and implement the Company’s safety program to ensure a safe, healthy and accident free work environment. John J. Campbell Co., Inc. is a privately-held, family-owned commercial roofing contractor, headquartered in Memphis, TN for over 50 years.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and facilitate Company safety training programs for new hires and monitor construction projects for compliance.
• Revise and edit the company's Safety Manual and maintain it to keep it up to date with all necessary requirements.
• Maintain knowledge of safety regulations to ensure operational compliance.
• Ability to interact with clients and customer personnel at various organizational levels in a professional manner.
• Maintain regulatory and company programs through written programs, policies, training and observations.
• Conduct accident investigations, identify root causes and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Roofing and/or Construction experience required.
• Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) preferred, not required.
• OSHA 500 credentialed or could achieve within 6 months after employment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• High School Diploma required, Associates/Bachelor s Degree a plus.
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs.
