As a Project Manager , you will oversee the all phases of the construction project from pre-construction, construction to project close out. Specific Responsibilities Include: Develops and executes project plan with full buy-in of all stakeholders, from pre-project planning, project scheduling, construction to project closeout Reviews and completes contracts and project documents in a timely manner Manage communication with all stakeholders including schedules, change orders, work plans, time lines, project progress, and project budget Oversee project costs while maximizing job profitability and utilization of resources Effectively manages safety Work with estimating team on bidding and budgeting projects Meets all contractual & regulatory obligations of each project Insures quality and high stakeholder relations on all projects Conduct regular inspections of work completed to ensure quality meets or exceeds Company standards Process final project close-out upon completion Keep Management regularly informed of project status, lead meetings and planning sessions Interact with Company clients and vendors, maintaining positive customer relations Supports estimating regarding constructability, providing Austin Underground, Inc. a competitive edge on bids Supports Austin Underground, Inc. in securing future project awards Represent Austin Underground, Inc. with honor and integrity; exercises specific signature authority Effectively demonstrates Mutual Respect Policy in job interactions (Muy Bien Policy) Demonstrates professionalism and respect in all job interactions Perform administrative office duties as needed (copying, filing, emails, correspondence, etc. Other duties as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 5+ years of experience in Underground Utility Construction preferred A bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or Civil Engineering with management related courses Strong communication skills in both oral and written forms; Excellent follow through and attention to detail Ability to successfully prioritize and complete multiple tasks within project deadlines is essential Ability to pre-plan and coordinate several projects in regard to material contracts, manpower, equipment, safety and subcontractors Ability to read, analyze and interpret standard business documents and project plans Thorough understanding of schedules, project budgets, submittals, change orders, and job costing Ability to understand a variety of instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables. Very high work ethic Demonstrates uplifting attitude, contributes to a positive team dynamic, embraces diversity, and able to make the workday fun and engaging Demonstrated computer skills, including use of Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer Valid driver’s license KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS Very high work ethic Excellent communication skills Strong attention to detail Ability to read, analyze and interpret standard business documents and project plans. Ability to interact effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints from owners, inspector, vendors, & employees regarding all business issues & operating concerns. Ability to understand and use intermediate math to calculate figures, percentages and ratios. Ability to apply concepts of basic geometry/algebra as needed. Ability to define problems, interprets data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to understand a variety of instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables. Demonstrates uplifting attitude, contributes to a positive team dynamic, embraces diversity, and able to make the workday fun and engaging. Bilingual language fluency preferred (Spanish) PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to lift/carry objects of up to 30 pounds. Ability to walk, crouch, climb stairs, talk and hear. Must have average dexterity to use arms, hands and fingers to handle, feel and reach. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
