Position Overview
TechnoGuard is seeking a motivated Junior Quality Control Technician to support our Quality Control Supervisor and warehouse fabrication operations.
This role is ideal for candidates with fabrication or QC experience who are detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and eager to grow in a hands-on environment.
You’ll be responsible for inspecting products, training fabrication technicians, keeping accurate QC records, and assisting with production tasks and equipment maintenance as needed to help our team meet daily goals.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for maintaining the quality and inspection process of all panels and components made in the shop to ensure they meet build standards and SOPs.
Assist the QC Supervisor in training technicians to meet quality and safety standards.
Promote safe use of common hand and power tools within the shop.
Communicate effectively with QC Supervisor, warehouse foreman, and fabrication staff.
Maintain detailed records of quality control inspections and daily operations.
Monitor safety compliance by all staff members, including forklift and machinery use.
Perform tool and equipment maintenance or minor repairs as needed.
Support shop crews in meeting production goals by working with or on crew assigned to production related tasks.
Ensure work and storage areas are clean and maintained.
Travel occasionally to other company facilities or job sites for QC or fabrication assistance.
Required Skills
Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to clearly communicate standards.
Basic proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
Forklift certified (or ability to obtain certification).
OSHA-10/OSHA-30 certified (or ability to obtain certification).
Experience & Education
High school diploma or GED required.
At least 1 year of fabrication and/or quality control experience required.
Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record required.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Exposure to constant loud noise and temperatures ranging from 0–100 °F.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for 50% of the day or more.
This position may occasionally require travel to other facilities or job sites to assist with fabrication or quality control work.
Hours & Compensation
Full-time, Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–3:00 PM, with overtime as required.
Compensation based on experience and qualifications.
Compensation details: 19-24 Hourly Wage
