Job Title: Cyber Security Incident Response Engineer Location: Washington, DC Duration: Full Time Requirements: 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity incident handling and experience in Security Operations Center (SOC) environments within the federal government Familiarity with OMB and FISMA mandates related to information security Deep understanding of NIST special publications, specifically 800-61, 800-37, 800-53, and 800-137 Knowledge of security policy and technical standard development, secure infrastructure design reviews, multi-tier trust zone structures, and complex networking security Experience with SOC tools such as SIEM, Tenable, ForeScout, App Detective, DB Protect, Fortify, Hailstorm, Cisco Ironport, etc. Excellent oral and written communication skills Experience with hardening techniques for various Microsoft operating systems, databases, and software suites including Windows Server 2008, 2012, Windows Desktop 7, 8, Microsoft SQL Server 2008, 2012, 2014, SharePoint 2010, 2013 Ability to work on-site at a federal agency in Washington, DC, and pass a U.S. federal background check Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or a related discipline, or equivalent experience Certifications such as CISM, CISSP-ISSMP, GCIH, or similar are preferred Responsibilities: Triage incident handling support for detection, analysis, coordination, and response Work with firewalls, intrusion protection systems, web proxies, antivirus, SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and other threat countermeasures Research and analyze data to identify new security trends, collaborating with SOC team members Troubleshoot issues related to customer policies and controls Perform on-demand vulnerability scans and compliance monitoring to meet security standards Identify network and OS vulnerabilities and recommend countermeasures Support deployment and integration of security tools Analyze and recommend solutions for security problems based on knowledge of security products and services Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead and collaborate within a team All information will be kept confidential in accordance with EEO guidelines. #J-18808-Ljbffr Technogen Inc.
