Job Title: Paralegal

Job Summary:

A Paralegal provides essential legal and administrative support to attorneys by preparing legal documents, conducting research, organizing case files, and managing communication with clients. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a thorough understanding of legal procedures and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, trials, meetings, and closings.
• Draft, review, and proofread legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, and discovery responses.
• Conduct legal research using online databases and legal reference materials.
• Organize and maintain physical and electronic case files and documentation.
• File legal documents with courts and other relevant authorities.
• Maintain case calendars and monitor deadlines.
• Communicate with clients, witnesses, court personnel, and other parties.
• Summarize depositions, interrogatories, and testimonies.
• Support attorneys with trial preparation and logistics.
• Ensure compliance with legal procedures, regulations, and firm policies.

Qualifications:

• Associates degree, Bachelor's degree, or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program.
• 2+ years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant preferred.
• Strong knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and legal research tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal management software (e.g., Clio, LexisNexis, Westlaw).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail, organization, and confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in a specific legal field (e.g., litigation, corporate law, real estate, family law).
• Familiarity with e-filing systems and document management tools.
• Bilingual skills, depending on client base and location.

• Lead and grow your own practice area under Exemplars umbrella
• Serve as a trusted strategic partner to clients across disciplines
• Collaborate with a national team of professionals to deliver holistic, client-first solutions
• Operate with autonomy while leveraging a proven, value-based pricing model (no hourly billing)
• Drive business development with support from our marketing, ops, and leadership teams
